Rawan Al Faqir
Deputy Head of Mission at the Embassy of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan in London (January 2026)
Rawan Al Faqir is currently Deputy Head of Mission at the Embassy of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan in London (since June 2025). She has also served as the Alternate Representative of Jordan to the International Maritime Organization (IMO) since August 2021, and was First Secretary at the Embassy between 2021 and 2025. Also, she served as President of Young Diplomats in London from 2022 to 2025.
She has served in various capacities within the Jordanian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, including as Desk Officer for the USA in the North American Department and in the office of the Ministry Spokesperson. Her professional experience offers a rich perspective on Jordan’s international engagements and the realities of modern diplomacy.
Ms. Al-Faqir was awarded a Chevening Scholarship (the UK government’s international scholarship programme) and a fellowship programme funded by the FCDO, completed an MST in Diplomatic Studies at The University of Oxford in 2020, and also holds a B.A degree in International Relations and Strategic Studies from the Hashemite University in Jordan.
Rawan is trilingual, Arabic is her mother language, and she is also fluent in English & Hebrew.
