RUSI NextGen
The Royal United Services Institute (RUSI), founded in 1831 by the Duke of Wellington, is the world’s oldest independent defence and security think tank. Its NextGen network connects students and young professionals with the defence and security policy community through events, discussions, and networking opportunities.
We are delighted to be collaborating with RUSI NextGen on joint events and programming, strengthening links between Oxford students and the wider defence and security policy world. This partnership will give our members unique opportunities to engage with cutting-edge debates and connect with peers and practitioners in London and beyond.

The Institute for Rural Development, Nepal
The Institute for Rural Development (IRD) is a non-profit, non-governmental organisation based in Nepal, committed to advancing sustainable development in rural communities. IRD works across sectors including education, agriculture, heritage conservation, tourism, and entrepreneurship, with a strong emphasis on collaboration with local stakeholders.
In 2025, the Oxford Diplomatic Society was invited to take part in a student and alumni delegation visit to Nepal, co-organised with the Institute for Rural Development (IRD). The trip marked the beginning of a meaningful partnership, focusing on development, culture, and dialogue with a range of Nepali institutions. Following the success of this visit, the Society signed a Memorandum of Understanding with IRD, formalising future collaboration. This partnership includes internship opportunities for ODS members and continued engagement on rural development initiatives in Nepal.

Youth International Association for Peace and Diplomacy
The Youth International Association for Peace and Diplomacy (YIAPD) is an international student-led initiative dedicated to reimagining peace, dialogue, and cooperation among nations. Founded on the belief that youth must play a central role in shaping global diplomacy, YIAPD brings together future leaders from across the world to exchange ideas and promote mutual understanding.
The Oxford Diplomatic Society is proud to be a founder of the YIAPD and one of its founding members is Michał L. Pietrzak, former President of the Oxford Diplomatic Society. The first summit will be held in Rabat, Morocco with several ODS members in attendance. It will be an event that convenes students and young professionals from across the globe to engage in high-level dialogue on peacebuilding, conflict resolution, and multilateral diplomacy.

The UK-MENA Network
The Oxford Diplomatic Society is a proud partner of the UK–MENA Network, an organisation dedicated to connecting young professionals in the United Kingdom with the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region. Through cultural exchanges, professional development opportunities, and diplomatic engagement, the Network fosters cross-cultural understanding and strengthens UK–MENA ties.
Its members include students and alumni from leading universities—such as Oxford, Cambridge, Durham, St Andrew’s, Edinburgh, King’s College London, SOAS, and LSE—as well as young professionals working across the civil service, parliament, policy, humanitarian sectors, finance, journalism, and security.

The Institute for Integrated Development Studies, Nepal
The Institute for Integrated Development Studies (IIDS) is a leading independent think-tank based in Kathmandu, Nepal. Since 1979, it has shaped evidence-based policy across South Asia in areas such as public finance, education, and sustainable development.
Following the ODS delegation visit to Nepal in April 2025, the Society launched an internship programme with IIDS, offering members the chance to contribute to impactful policy research and deepen UK–Nepal engagement.

Entente Cordiale Day
The Oxford Diplomatic Society is proud to partner with the Entente Cordiale Day Association (ECD), launched in 2024 under the High Patronage of the President of France and with the support of His Majesty King Charles III. ECD brings together top academic institutions from the UK and France to produce collaborative, solution-focused research on global challenges.
Anchored in historic venues such as the Château de Breteuil, the House of Commons, and the Hôtel des Invalides, ECD fosters dialogue between rising young leaders and global experts. ODS members have actively participated in EC Day Challenges and summits, building cross-Channel ties rooted in diplomacy, innovation, and heritage.

LUSDA
The Oxford Diplomatic Society is a proud partner of LUSDA, the Students’ Diplomatic Association at LUISS University in Rome.
Based in Italy’s capital—long recognised as a hub of diplomacy and dialogue—LUSDA brings that legacy into the hands of students. The association creates opportunities to experience diplomacy beyond the classroom through conferences, embassy visits, study visits, workshops, cultural events, international collaborations, and a student-run newspaper.
Like the Oxford Diplomatic Society, LUSDA is a member of the YIAPD network, which connects young leaders and associations worldwide in shaping the future of global dialogue. Our partnership was formally established through a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), underscoring our shared commitment to international collaboration and exchange.

Monaco Young Ambassadors Club
MYAC operates under the auspices of the Monaco Ambassadors Club (MAC), founded in 1973 by H.S.H. Princess Grace of Monaco to represent and promote the Principality internationally. Today, under the Honorary Presidency of H.S.H. Prince Albert II of Monaco, MAC continues its mission of fostering international friendship and cooperation—values that also guide the work of MYAC.
As the youth branch of MAC, MYAC provides a dynamic platform for young leaders to engage in cultural exchange, dialogue, and international collaboration. Through events, conferences, and partnerships, MYAC enables its members to act as ambassadors not only of their own cultures but also of Monaco’s tradition of openness and diplomacy.
Our partnership with MYAC reflects a shared commitment to connecting young leaders worldwide and strengthening international understanding through meaningful engagement.

The Global Affairs Program at Harvard
The Global Affairs Program (GAP) is the first and only initiative within Harvard’s Institute of Politics dedicated exclusively to international relations and diplomacy. Centered on academic inquiry and professional development, GAP convenes ambassadors, regional specialists, and policy practitioners for speaker series, roundtable discussions, and career-focused events with diplomats, consulates, and embassies.
We are delighted to be collaborating with GAP on future initiatives, including joint delegations and exchanges between Oxford and Harvard students. This partnership reflects our commitment to broadening the Society’s international reach and fostering meaningful transatlantic dialogue.

London Diplomatic Association (LDA)
Founded in 1964, the London Diplomatic Association brings together members of the diplomatic corps, international organisations, and business leaders. Through events, networking, and cultural exchanges, the Association fosters dialogue between diplomats and the UK’s political, business, and academic communities.
