Behrad Ahmadpour

IT Officer

Behrad Ahmadpour is a DPhil student in Computer Science at the University of Oxford and serves as the IT Officer of the Oxford Diplomatic Society.

With academic and professional experience across several countries, including Iran, Japan, Taiwan, Hong Kong, and the UK, Behrad brings an international perspective to both his research and his diplomatic engagement. His work focuses on anti-censorship technologies and the law of cybersecurity, exploring how secure and resilient communication systems can counter digital authoritarianism and protect freedom of speech.

Behrad’s research lies at the intersection of technology, law, and politics, examining how advances in cryptography can inform policy, strengthen democratic institutions, and shape global conversations on digital rights.
